Spinning
The majority of our spinning equipment is from Lakshmi Machine Works (LMW) and Truetzschler. Our winding machines are from Murata and Savio. Suessen & Lakshmi compact technology is employed in all ring spinning locations. The Two for one Twisters are Volkmann. Our singeing machines are from RITE.
Our rotor spinning machines are from Schlafhorst. We keep modernizing our machines at regular intervals.
Sustainability
Premier Mills Group is self-sufficient with renewable energy providing 90% of our captive energy needs. We have installed wind turbines with a capacity of 105 MW. This has ensured that we enjoy better power availability vis-à-vis other textile mills in the same geography without captive power assets, and more importantly make our energy costs more competitive. It has acted as a hedge against constantly rising energy prices. We have windmills from Regen Powertech, Vestas and Enercon.
Our lighting inside the factory and street lighting are with energy efficient LED bulbs. We keep improving our energy efficiency every year and part of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency’s PAT scheme. We have a state of the art waste water treatment where we are achieving zero liquid discharge. The equipment is primarily from a renowned Italian supplier and we keep continuously modernizing the equipment.
Our sewage is also recycled with RO membranes and utilized in our humidification plants. A lot of effort is put into rain water harvesting. Wherever possible we have eliminated cooling towers that use water with dry cooling towers We are very conscious of our energy and water use, we use only azo free and high fixation dyes, and offer formaldehyde free finishing.
